You can walk around the entire Old Town of Saint-Malo on the ramparts. It's a really fun walk and the views are spectacular from every point. This is a cross-channel ferry just past a cannon . . . the old and the new!
There is a large park area behind the cannon. Other parts of the ramparts take you above the city streets. |

Where do we park the car? There is parking right below the ramparts at the harbor. We arrived before July first and a gentleman informed us parking was free until July first. Another big plus for Saint-Malo.
Sigh . . . Paul just told me the parking has changed. He said, "The parking around St malo has now changed. Only free from 8 Oct. to 15 March."
So sad . . . but at least it is still free from Oct. to March. That is good if you go out of season. (See Paul's comment below and THANK YOU PAUL.) | | | Harbor below the Ramparts |
