I read before i went that pickpocketing is rife in Paris. I thought it was an exaggeration until we got hit. Two teenage girls tried to open my friend's backpack while going down the stairs to the Metro. Good thing we noticed before they managed to get anything. They fled. So.. just be careful of them!
