The housekeeper probably thought that you locked yourself out as you normally only get one card key....a single room will cool very quickly on your return and europeans are very energy aware and never leave the aircon on if you are not there!
Found the High Tech Nueva Castellana hotel in Madrid online today as I do require a hotel near the airport. We'll be arriving in Madrid LATE—any idea if the shuttle operates past 11pm? What time the restaurant closed? If it had a bar? Thanks!
