I studied here for a few months, and I found that there's a lot to discover in this rather sleepy town in southern France. I really like the architecture and the fact that there's a lot of fountains and trees around town. you can find a lot of cosy cafes and bars here, where you easily can spend hours, talking about everything and nothing, or just watch people passing. |
| | Le Mont St Victoire The favourite motive of artist Paul Cezanne - the pride of Aix en Provence - is the Mont St Victoire. This picture is taken from Portail de Cezanne (a place you can reach with bus nr 1), but I suggest you rent a car and go hiking on the mountain instead, just watching from a distance isn't enough. |

vinc_bilb Mon Apr 7, 2008 08:03 UTC "it's impossible not to. .. they charge WAY too much for whatever you're ordering. " Agree, seems to be a common trap in France and ... other countries. Just a question of "bon sens" to take the side-streets. Thks | Adribug Thu May 24, 2007 14:45 UTC Hello Maria! I have a few questions. I will be traveling to Aix this summer and will be flying into Nice. Would car rental be good or take a train from Nice to Aix. Once in Aix, what is the best way to travel from town to town. | rickyvilla81 Sun Dec 10, 2006 11:29 UTC i love aix, i really want to go back |
