Valasske Mezirici Travel Guide: 14 reviews and 17 photos
At the kind advice from one VTers (thank you!!) I have already found the town where I spent my childhood at the VT's list. Yes, my heart was bleeding when I had to skip the diacritics!! :-) So now welcome in the part of Wallachian Kingdom! (That's the "state in the state" fabricated with one of ours actor). For more info about Kingdom check this page ...there is also english version.
ValMez has almost 30.000 inhabitants (some of the famous - tennis player Tomas Berdych and Marketa Irglova with her Oscar) and lies in the really beautiful nature. After the revolution all the buildings were repaired and now look like in the historical times. When you should see just one thing in our town, it has to be the square :-)
The name Mezirici means "between rivers" and our town lies on confluence of the river Roznovska Becva and Vsetinska Becva (Roznov and Vsetin are towns near ours).

Marvelous tips. Loved your tour. I sure hope that they didn't "keep on" the residents of the womens prison when the castle became a cultural center. hehehe
