Lednice - Lednice

Lednice is popular for its beautiful castle with even more beautiful gardens. Castle has since 1996 been on UNESCO list and it it said that some trees in the gardens are older than 400 years.

The name Lednice means "the fridge" - because there is colder than in the surroundings; most of the territory lies in the hollow where the air is colder because of inversion and the river and ponds are also playing their role.
