"Saint Louis on the Mississippi" Saint Louis by Muya

I keep a great memory of the majestic arch of Saint Louis. An impressive iron symbol called the Gateway Arch. Saint Louis actually was the last city before the Great Plains at the time when settlers and fortune-hunters were trying to find better living conditions to the West.

Saint Louis is the most important inner harbour on the Mississippi. It the occasion for us to take a boat tour on that ledgendary River, our heads full of Tom Sawyer’s adventures :-) But my chilhood dreams were a bit disappointed as the landscape along the river was much more industrial than I had imagined in fact. But some nice views anyway.

After the boat ride, we had a drink somewhere and I drank my first Manhattan ever. I don’t know why I had dreamt about that for so long, but I was thrilled to try it :-) I remember sitting outside at the bar’s terrace on a sweet summer night...

We had no time to visit all the parks the city offers, but I read they are really worth...
