"Utah - the Beehive State" Utah by Muya

Among all the States I saw, Utah is one of my favourites. The same red-orange coloured soil in Southern Utah as in Northern Arizona.
To the North, from the Great Salt Lake on, the landscape gets more and more alike to the one in Nevada as we get near this State.
Salt Lake city is the bastion of the Mormons, whose presence is palpable throughout the State.
Utah’s mountains are famous for their skiing resorts in the winter.
And of course, and that’s the feature that I prefer, Utah abounds in national parks, each one so different from the other, and at the same time so close !

Our tour of Utah

We decided to visit Bryce Canyon on Day 10 of our trip while being in Page, Arizona. Although in another State, the park was only 2 ½ hours away. This way, we could stay in the same hotel for a few days, which is great when you’re always on the move ! Otherwise, I would advice you to stay closer from the park, in Kanab or Hatch, which seems to me a better choice than Page as a matter of distance.
When we left Page on Day 11 for Colorado, we stopped at Monument Valley to admire all the majestic buttes and mesas.
We crossed Utah again after our short stay in Colorado, and we visited Canyonlands NP on Day 13, Arches NP on Day 14, Salt Lake City and the Great Salt Lake on Day 15.
As it was the case for the other States, we only visited a very tiny part of the wonders that Utah contains...
