"Oppède-le-Vieux" Oppède by Muya

Oppède, one of the numerous old villages of France, sits imposingly on a rocky outcrop. Time seems to have stopped among the houses of its streets that have been carved in the rock. Many artists and writers try to restore and preserve the authenticity of this beautiful village that has been abandoned in the beginning of the century.

The village is the result of thousand years of history and a century of abandon. Vegetation of oblivion reigns over the old ruins where the charm of the forgone centuries is still perceptible.
