    • This is the largest lavic tunnel of the Azores, and perhaps the only one in the world inside a town: more than 1km length and 13m width.
    To visit this regional monument, you need to contact the Ecologic Association "Amigos dos Açores".

    Entrance fee: 2.5 EUR

    Location: Rua do Carvão de Cima.
    Entrance: Near Fábrica de Tabaco Micaelense.
    In the Azores one can find about 225 volcanic caves!

    • This my favourite place when I need to buy fresh vegetables and fruits. Here you can find a well known shop, just on the right site of the main entrance, specialized in our regional products, namely cheeses, liquors and sweets.
    Don't forget to visit the shops of our artisanat.

     This bus were replaced by the mini bus that A Line that goes to the old airport , to the new , dosen't have any bus only taxi
