A great plate to rest and other Ilha de São Miguel, Portugal Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

I am used only to go to the bar of this hotel, but I know some friend who loved to stay here. From the hotel we have a gorgeous view over the sea.

Caloura is an amazing place to relax. Here we find a beach, a natural swimming pool, a fishing Port with a local bar facing to the sea.

Unique Qualities: A hotel located one foot from the best beach of the island.
Água de Pau village, where we reach the picturesque place called Calora, an Vila Franca do Campo town, the former capital of the Island, are not far from this hotel.
If you like trails, I advise you to go to the Lagoa do Fogo from Praia place.

Nordeste municipality is far away from Ponta Delgada and is an interesting place to explore due to the gorgeous landscapes. The highest mountain of São Miguel, Pico da Vara, with a little more than 1000 m is located here.
If you like to explore this municipality, staying in these houses is, in my opinion, a good idea.
Theses houses were adapted for tourism, but a rural flavour has still remained.
