Wether Butchenbach technically falls under Verviers, Belgium or not it was the closest VT geographical link to Butchenback, Belgium I could find. Butchenbach is a small village in the German speaking territory of Belgium. This territory was acquired by Belgium after the post WWI political settlements of the Great War. Nowadays this area of Belgium makes for nice getaways to forested regions. I attended an intensive swim training retreat here in a delightful landscape.
