Beachside dunes
Near the border of France and Belgium between Dunkerque and Veurne is a stretch of Northsea coast free from the wall of concrete condominium life. Just sea giving way to beach giving way to dunes and more dunes. Scattered amoung the seaside dunes forgotten concrete bunkers make World War II a memory that really is never far away in this part of the world.
Ghost train for the Zuydcoote stop
Actually a quite impressive inland coastal nature reserves for this part of the world.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Beautiful seaside landscape of dunes and beaches
- Cons:Occassional industrial areas sit in the middle of the natural setting
- In a nutshell:Beautiful seaside for any month of the year for a hearty walk
