Aberdeen Transportation

Transportation: Take a City Tour
  • Tip Rating:
  • 'Mode': AROUND
    Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: Primary two went on a bus tour of Aberdeen in connection with their project City & Village.
There are open top buses touring the city only in summer but we hired a private coach.
You can also see a lot of Aberdeen by using First Bus.
Bus stops are frequent on Union Street going to various parts of the city.

Transportation: Take a Ferry from Aberdeen Harbour
  • Tip Rating:
  • 'Mode': TO
    Category: Ship/Boat
Getting TO/AROUND: Aberdeen Harbour is located in the City Centre and is a busy place with lots of varied shipping from supply boats, servicing the oil rigs, huge fishing factory ships, cargo ships, ships which transfer livestock from and to the Orkney and Shetland Islands and Northern Ferries who travel to the same Isles. I have encluded a selection of photos but so far have only seen the ferries from Cruden Bay.

Leeds-Bradford is probably closer but Manchester is probably easier for public transport onwards. LB doesn't have a train station, Mcr does. Gillybob greetings

A recent refurbishment and rebranding has made this establishment much less child-friendly. They have moved upmarket and dumped the kids play equipment. Sadly the increase in prices has not been matched by the introduction of good food.
