T.G.I. FRiDAYS: A Taste of America
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: T.G.I. FRiDAYS

Good family restaurant with lots of American memorabilia including a great pictures of American greats from the music world, my favourite Elvis was smiling right behind me.
If it's your Birthday the staff will parade around the restaurant singing "Happy Birthday" complete with sparklers and a cake. On my most recent visit we were here as two families, spanning four generations, to meet for the first time and celebrate with Fraser and Debbie on the birth of their Son Adam. The staff did a great job seating twenty people at one table, serving up drinks and food for all with no one waiting very long for their own lunch.

Favorite Dish: The steak platters are a good choice served up with Jack Daniel's special BBQ sauce. I love the ribs and wings tower just perfect for sharing. The desserts are huge it is a good ideaa to order one between two cuts the calories and the cost. Drinks are expensive but free refills are offered on all soft drinks.

%cr%s5Mill of Mundurno: Dine in an Old Mill
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Mill of Mundurno

Pleasant family restaurant with old world charm. An out of town location incorporating motel style accommodation. The restaurant caters well for children with special menus & kids drinks & provides a safe & fun outdoor playarea.

Favorite Dish: We usually stop here when shopping in Aberdeen on our way home. The food is good traditional stuff, but they have many specials, I sometimes have the tandoori chicken with mango chutney. Please note : check your table number & order & pay at the bar

O'Neills: Give this place back to Ireland!!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: O'Neills

The food is standard pub grub - good for a quick snack - but don't spend time here on a full meal.
The decor is meant to be old but this place is in need of a face lift - torn bar stools peeling paint...................not great.................
Beware the toilets - clean enough but sign posted in Irish - Mina- ladies & Fir - gents

Favorite Dish: A quick snack & a quick getaway!!
If your into sport you can watch Irish football on a big screen - don't really see the point in a Scottish city

Frankie & Benny's: New York & Italy combine here
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Frankie & Benny's

Aberdeen is a University town so who knows where your server will come from, but you will always receive perfect attention here. The servers are friendly and attentive, explaining menus and choices, they do a good job.
Modern and spacious, the restaurant is designed around a typical New York Dinner, there are a lot of old pictures of Italians in New York and it has a definate 1940's atmosphere

Favorite Dish: I had an Italian pasta dish & American dessert combining both counties = yummy

  • Restaurant Name: CHIQUITO

A fun restaurant & bar with a good Mexican feel - FIESTA NIGHTS ARE A LOT OF FUN HERE but you have to imagine the sunshine

Favorite Dish: Anything Mexican the hotter the better.
Have a nice cold Mexican Beer - at Aberdeen prices.

Miami Beach: Miami Beach - my mistake Aberdeen actually
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Miami Beach

Give it a miss, this place looks posh and is well advertised locally, the only good thing about this restaurant is if you book tickets for a movie at the adjacent cinema you get two for one on your main course. The food is nothing to write home about. There are lots more decent restaurants in this vicinty, so make your choice somewhere else.

Favorite Dish: NOTHING GOOD HERE YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITH MACDONALDS OR BURGER KING!!

The Prince of Wales: Come in for a rest after shopping
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: The Prince of Wales

The Prince of Wales is one of the most popular bars in Aberdeen they have an extensive Bar Menu with typical pub food including good hearty homemade soup and filled rolls
The Prince of Wales boasts the longest bar in Aberdeen and its Real Ale and food is included in Egon Rooney's good pub guide. The decor is mostly dark wood paneling and has some fine old pictures and old mirrors advertising distilleries and whisky. A popular place with shoppers especially daytrippers who come by plane and ferry - grab a table if you can find one and play spot the language. During our recent Christmas Shopping trip we were back here and Santa had arrived early and given this place a new carpet with the Prince's Feathers scattered on it. It is often said this pub is haunted but I never believed this until our most recent visit - we were talking about the old photo of a young woman when out of the blue the menu fell off the table - maybe if you visit she won't turn up!!

Favorite Dish: If you are into real ales it really is the place for you with three ales featured every week. We usually only have a filled roll and cold drink but I have had their mouthwatering fish and chips which come highly recommended.

Spectacular scenery! Thanks for giving us a virtual tour of your village, it really is lovely! Wallace's fate makes us remember how cruel people can be. Liked the updates with lovely new pictures.

It's been nearly a year since I last looked at this page, so I thought I'd check back for additions. Interesting updates on the long granite façade and the River Ythan and the Castle Gate area.
