I still mispronounce Schwetzingen and always want to call it Schwetsinger - a place to be happy in. The weather was wonderful with late Autumn sunshine creating a perfect partner for the Autumn colours and reflective waters.
- Pros:Quaint - Quiet & very pretty
- Cons:None for me anyway
- In a nutshell:Schwetzingen a natural place for me = Thanks Ingrid

Great and fun page! I agree - Schwetzingen is a real gem and often people will miss it in favor of Heidelberg. Oh well, we know better! :-)) Perhaps the town's name comes from "schwätzen" = to babble ;-)
Wonderful Schwetzingen page with lovely photographs! It certainly has some wonderful attractions. The palace and its gardens look awesome with lovely fountains and statues. The Apollo Temple certainly looks amazing. ~ho & pang
I also love little German towns, especially in this area. The Palace gardens and fountains are wonderful. Love the pics of the playful otters and the red squirrel. Also thanks for visiting some of my Windsor pages.
I love this garden!!! I spent there a wonderful afternoon!!!
This little town does indeed seem like a place to be happy. The illusions, nature, and good food. Very nice page.
Wonderful informative tips & beautiful pics. I would really like to visit the palace & it's garden, it looked lovely. Can't wait to go to Germany for the Euromeet2008.
If the bronze boy only knew; by being a statue; all the gardener will give him; is reticulated dew!
Never heard of Schwetzingen before and I always thought the most famous region for white asparagus is the Beelitz area near Berlin. One never stops learning :).
Very very nice page ;-)
What's not to like about Schwetzingen? With its fountain, gardens, Palace, statues, a temple, a German Beer Hall, and a great hotel. Love Apollo's Statue and memorial. Crystal clear photos. It's always a pleasure to read & see your tips.
