Name of Shop: Department stores
We were looking down a small shopping street near central London & contemplating going into Boots The Chemist - every town & city has one in the UK - taking a good look from the top of the street we saw St. Paul's again - but from a unique angle - rising up in all its glory from a gap in the street. The Shopping was soon forgotten
What To Buy: If you do like shopping & some do - London is the top for shopping in the UK selling everything imaginable
What To Pay: n/a

Clothes: Carnaby Street - not what it used to be

Name of Shop: Lots of Fashion Shops
We stumbled into Carnaby Street while walking some of London's famous streets. This street was once famous in Swinging London's 1960's but now it is just one more shopping street. I suppose it may still be interesting to the young & glamerous amongst us, but for me it was just a short cut to London's other famous shopping street, Oxford Street with the usual High Street Outlets who's names are repeated in every city & town in Britain.
What To Buy: Fashionable & clubbing clothes
What To Pay: Whatever you can afford = but not cheap

Covent Garden Market: Have some fun browsing Covent Garden

Name of Shop: Covent Garden Market
This place always provides fun & smiles & sometimes hearty laughter (see other photos of my friend & myself a few years down the line!! The main market hall has many small high street outlets, but the local craft is much more interesting. You can find lots of special local crafts in the covered market. Come and be entertained by the street performers, watch talented fiddle players in the market place, or if the weather turns to rain or cruel winds, like it did on our visit, go people watch in one of the pubs = all good fun
What To Buy: Everything from food & drink to warm hats & scarf to local craft & prints & postcards
What To Pay: What you can afford - somethings are really cheap & some expensive
