St. Andrew's Church in High Holborn is the second largest Church - designed by Sir Christopher Wren it was built in 1686. It looks like a small Church when you first glimpes it because most of the Church is built on a hill. I loved the detail - it looked to me like the Little Dutch Boy & Girl from the long ago childrens' rhyme. One claim to fame is St. Andrew's did survive the great fire. If you would like to see inside visit the web site below for a virtual tour.

Just loved finding this old building hidden away - We came upon St. Andrew's Court House while wandering near Holborn. This timeless building was designed by the Gothic/Victorian Architect Samuel Teuton. The Court was fully restored in 1992 & now hosts formal lunches, seminars, meetings & presentations - no surprise really as it is near to Londons bustling business community.

Take a bus from most central points to Abbey Road's famous recording studios. See the graffiti in honour of the Beatles - but don't add to it - there isn't room anyway. A must for every Beatles Fan

Off The Beaten Path: Discover who followed in the footsteps of printers

Wynkyn de Worde - well what an apt name for a printer who followed in the footsteps of William Claxton. Wynkyn de Worde was known as the Father of Fleet Street but you won't find him on Fleet Street but a few streets back near to Shoe Lane where he set up his press in 1500. Sometimes wandering off the beaten path can uncover some history for you.
