Swallow Hotel Dunollie: A Good base to explore Skye

    • We booked this hotel through Octopus Travel via the internet - they called it the Swallow Broadford. Skye isn't big on street names or streets for that matter. We went up Main Street & back down again but could not find the Hotel. We did eventually find a new one but it was under construction, we asked the workmen to direct us - problem solved - the hotel is part of the Swallow Group but named The Dunollie Hotel. I'm glad we found it, a good all round tourist hotel with funny entertainment, nice comfortable rooms and full Scottish breakfast included in the room rate, but best of all excellent sea views.
