    • There are numerous beaches and small coves dotted along the coast of the Costa Brava - Fenals is just one of them it is the nearest to Lloret and a much prettier alternative. After a short time reading a book on the beach we got a little bored here and set out on the coastal path. I'm not sure if the tunnel we went through was new or old but it did look old to me. I liked the use of greenery here too such a contrast with the golden sand and turquoise sea. The replica fishing boat planted out beautifully just added to the charm of Fenals.

    • This little Parish Church has such a long name of Capella Del Santissimi 'l Esglesia Parroquail Sant Roma but its name pales into insignificance when you witness first hand her beauty. The Church was first constructed in 1509 - 1522 but its real beauty came about much later when it was restored in 1914 in the design of the architect Bonaventura Conilli Montobbino when it was transformed into a modern design style incorporating Byzantine, Muslim and Renaissance traces. I could hardly believe I was the only tourist uttering oohs and aahs around this busy part of Lloret but I could not resist the compelling and unusual beauty of such a Church. My camera and I were back in an element of simply stunning things to see. Lloret you have a great little gem here advertise it please!! It deserves some recognition. The Church is open weekdays at 19.00 hours- Saturday 18.00 - 20.00 Sunday 10.30-12.00 then 18.00-20.00.

    • To get to the beach at Lloret we had to run the guantlet through the shopping street which lead here. Not a great experience since you are accosted on all sides by people trying to ply their tourist junk. I had previously bought a postcard showing Lloret's Santa Christina beach but this must have been around another cove! I did discover however while taking a different route back to the hotel you can get some stunning shots of Lloret's beach - even I could be convinced it looked very pretty from on high but I have a strong suspicion you would not - even from this angle ever see any beauty during high season. If you can get by the lines of hotels the beach would indeed be a lovely place to view.
