Prague Hotel Tips by BitBucket

The hotel is located in a peaceful area of Prague. In about 15 minutes of walking, you can reach the Andel metro stop and a big shopping center with a Carrefour for all your grocery needs. Just used the tram one time. The stop is just around the corner.
All the center of the city and the castle area is within walking distance. The breakfast room is small with limited offer: sausages, eggs, ham, cheese, butter, toasts, bread, jam, honey, cakes, yogurt, cereals, juices, tea, coffee, chocolate, milk and more. The offer seems wide, but you can found just one kind of ham, 3 cheeses, 2 juices, etc. You'll surely found something good to eat, but with a limited choice.
The staff is 24/24h and very friendly and helpful.
Very good the service from the airport to the hotel and back: 700CZK airport-hotel, 500 CZK the returning. The hotel is small, so you'll find just couples or small families.
There was no air-cond or fan. In hot summer this may be a big problem.
The room and the bathroom were clean and spacious, but the in-room safe was small and key operated, so you have to bring the key with you all the day. The safe size it's about a cube 20 cm. but don't take this size for granted, I didn't measured it!
The bed was very comfortable (king size). It was lovely hard and with big pillows. Now the biggest problem of this hotel: the curtains!!!
The window have curtains, but not dark enough to stop the light from the outside. This means that (in the summer) at about 4:30am you'll have your eyes wide open by the light! :-(
My solution was to take the bed cover and lock it in the window to stop the light, which reduced the light, but not stopped it!
The TV is small (14") but with a decent selection of channels in different languages: english, czech, german and italian. The pay TV is free of charge and in the night two XXX rated channels are available. If you have kids, you can ask the receptionist to lock them.
In early morning, be prepared to be waked-up by the trash truck!!

Unique Qualities: If you are looking for an hotel in a good location, with an helpful staff, a big size room and a decent breakfast, this is the hotel for you, but if you prefere a wider choice for breakfast, an hotel closest to the metro, air-conditioning, a bigger electronic safe and if you want to sleep in early morning, this is not the hotel for you.
The check-out is at 12:00, but there are big lockers and WC with shower available for free if you need a later check-out. This is a very good thing!
