"Segovia" a Segovia Travel Page by pinik

The day we visited Segovia was full of roads, new places, impressions and emotions for us. The negative thing of this - we didn't have enough time to explore all the places we've been to.
So, we were not able to walk through the center of Segovia and it remained for us to be like a beautiful mirage springing up before our eyes...
And sometimes it reminded a sand castle children use to build at the sea side...

The only place we've been to was the Alcazar castle. It looks rather strange when to look from outside — like a toy or sceneries made for a movie about medieval knights.

There is a very interesting museum inside the castle, with lots of knights' armour, interesting paintings dedicated to Queen Isabel life, stained-glass windows and magnificent (sometimes even unreal) views from enormous windows.

Being in the Alcazar castle it is also possible to climb on it's tower. The steps are getting narrow while you going up and finally it becomes impossible for two people to pass by each other.

But it's really worth to climb up the tower! This feeling I had while looking around at the landscapes around Segovia and at the town itself is entrancingly indescribable :)
All the churches and buildings seems to be a part of the landscape, like growing out this yellow fields. I wanted to stay there for ever, to dissolve into this scenery also becoming a part of it...
