Adventures in Brazil

I visited Brazil in Feb.2004 to visit and go to Carnival in Rio and Salvador, Bahia. Here are a few pic`s. I traveled there from November to April of 2006 with hope of finding a bar to buy and a home on the beach. It was beautiful but I will focus on Mexico as my new pradise to make a home. The Talum area is just too cool. Hopefully I will have time to edit these pages soon! ;-)

Rio the beautiful!

This country is just so amazing! I can`t believe that I don`t live there. Maybe some day soon. This is the view from the foot of The Christ in Rio.

Salvador-Bahia

This is such a historic country. Just to walk the streets here that are so old and beautiful.

The bay in Salvador

This is the upper level of Salvador looking down on the the bay and old market. Under the old market is the basement where they kept the slaves after arrival to the small island that you see which was a prison at one time.
And then there were the Samba girls,,,

Ipanema beach!

Carnaval time on Ipanema beach is quit a site to behold. The energy level is way up and electricity is in the air!

I actually agree with you now. 8 years ago it was a completely different town--little fishing village. Now it's mostly a nightmare.

Whom - me? Hahaha. I think my love for Brazil is more than evident :) I'm happy that I'm going back in December :) It's almost impossible not to fall in love with this country. What about your bar and the new home? Did you realize it?
