As this is the most visited of the tourist spots in Ninh Binh province, it attracts hawkers. I personally didnt find them very demanding but expect the boat people trying to sell you things.

They have floating shops of snacks and drinks. When you do not buy for yourself they then ask you to buy for your rower. I would rather tip of my own accord thank you!!

We also saw women on boats trying to sell needlework and cloths to tourists.

Unique Suggestions: Just smile and say no if you dont want to buy.

When visiting the tourist sites around Ninh Binh yuo may be approached by people with professional looking camera equipment and they may offer to take pictures of you. Just be aware that they are trying to sell the pics to you.
