Despite it's size, traffic, resort type atmosphere in places, Phuket still has a number of places that offer quiet getaways. These can be in beautiful hotels, rented villas/houses/apartments or basic cottage/guesthouses although there aren't as many of the latter in quiet parts of Phuket as you would find in other parts of Thailand.
Examples of more secluded spots are around Rawai and Nai Thon but they can be found all over the place with time to look.
Even if you dont stay in the quietest of places then there are beaches, restaurants, bars that you can visit to getaway from it all.
