One of My Favorite Pictures | Nelson's Dockyard from above |
In this beautiful picture, you can see Nelson's Dockyard below. I am standing on Shirley's Height, Antigua's most southerly point, where a fort is located. It was the principle fortification of the British troops stationed at English HArbour, from the 1780s. |
| | One of Antigua's Many Coves This photo shows Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbor. The British Navy used the dockyard for 200 years. Now it is a National Park. |
Leaving the Island of Antigua Sailing away from Antigua on my cruise ship, I say 'Goodbye' to Antigua. The twin-spired building in the background is the Angelican St. John's Cathedral. It was originally built in 1681, and rebuilt twice since then. | | |
