Family...nothing else like it on earth...to be loved and accepted unconditoinally...to share in laughter, tears, joy and heartache...My heart swells each time I see my girls embrace, witnessing the awesome bond they have always shared.

The grand American flag flies high on Liberty Island near New York City. Our flag represents a free country we should all be proud to call our home.
May we always be thankful beyond measure for our Homeland...and those that are in harms way protecting us and our Home.
I would be remiss if I failed to say that as an American, I am so deeply aware of my fortunes. May I never forget to help those much less fortunate, to pray for them, to ask God to comfort and heal...wherever His children may be in need.

As the lighthouse guides one to home...safe from the raging storms...the magnificent ocean reminds one of a Higher Being and His mighty powers...the Eagle soars above...a symbol of the freedom one finds when resting once again in the haven of his home...and the breathtaking rainbow...breaking through the clouds of darkness and fear...lends the promise of brighter tomorrows...and the hope of each new day...for all.

Never would I let such a wonderous sight escape being captured...for pure delight and enjoyment over and over. As I witness such awesome happenings...I stand in humble appreciation of all that is given...in love...to us...everyone of us...every day of our life. And I am so very thankful to have experienced that joy.

Of all the wonderous places on earth I have had the privilege to experience, none touches me like the immense ocean. I feel my burdens lifted, my sorrows eased, my heartaches lightened...my body and spirit are bathed in a wash of serenity, peace and comfort....I find renewal, spiritual growth and a new awakening as I embrace all the wonders of God's mighty waters...so vast, with a power and calmness all together...

To be outside, my fingers deep in the soil...feeling the earth crumble in my hands...breathing its fresh scent...this is a piece of heaven to me. I love to plant, nourish, coddle and love...to reap the glories of flowers and foliage that my hands have coaxed to emerge from our earth. Watching something grow from almost nothing at all...this is God's therapy for me.

Unconditional love is what she blessed me with...from the moment Fluffy was born before my eyes...until her last glimpse of me...she gave me her heart and soul. She would wrap her soft body so tightly next to my neck...I knew she was giving me a hug. I loved her so.

Within the past year I sadly "lost" two of my beloved cats to old age. Realizing that Jenni, my black cat (with a white bib and apron) would be lonesome, I rescued Gracie from the local SPCA. She is adorable, and after what seemed forever, she and Jenni get along fabulously. They even help each other bathe their faces! I've had kittens and cats all my life. I can't imagine ever being without them.
