well here I sit, Perhaps I should paint the picture, Not a single cloud in the sky I't's 15:30 hours (3.30PM) 23 degrees, and the sun is bursting through every window in the house, Pavorotti is blasting "volare" all around the place you can hear it from wherever you stand on this magnifficent property, my boet Garth, (the only man beside my own father on this earth that I will admit to loving enough to die for) is running the chainsaw and cutting trees to make way for the new garage, he's sucking down a few beers I'm sucking down a few beers, life is grand.... The only thing better than this.......... is more of this..... Oh how I love thee Africa..... both Land rovers are out of storage and have had a good run around ready for the next lock up, which unfortunately will happen within the next few days and I will head back to Taiwan, and then to Mumbai India, which will become home for the next 12 months. pictures will follow in an hour or two, right now Garth and I are going to get soaked....... |
| | well run and ready to sleep The Land rovers, clearing the way for the new garage that Garth is building became a whole load of fun when these guy's arrived on site, the digging stopped and the pulling started..... Not so visible from this side, but "shorty" (the red one) has 3500 U$D of damage to the front end, this was a wonderful going away present that my wife and brother-in-law presented me with a week before leaving for Asia, a great farewell party on the farm turned into a night drive looking for owl's, clearly where you would not expect to find them!!!. |
| | And only 5 days to go Well this is all about timing, 5 days from when this shot was taken 60 people were expected for a 40th birthday bash...... |
