"Paris, Idaho - Seat of Bear Lake County" Paris by WulfstanTraveller

Paris Travel Guide: 1 reviews and 3 photos

Paris is a small town, only about 500 people, but it is the county seat of Bear Lake County, the south-easternmost county in Idaho. The largest town in the county, though, is Montpelier, with about 11,000 people. Apparently, Paris has traditionally been a Mormon or LDS town while Monptpelier was not, and its primary claim to fame seems to be the large LDS Bear Lake Tabernacle. This impressive, historic masonry building is large enough to hold several times the population of the town itself.
