Lakeport is the oldest and second-largest city in Lake County. For almost a century, it was the only incorporated city in the county and it shows in ites relatively large downtown and old buildings. These include some ornate Victorian commercial buildings and an old courthouse.

The town is small, with only about 5,000 people, and its economy is not exactly bustling. However, the relatively sizeable and attractive downtown, and the fact that it is right on the shore of Clear Lake make the town interesting and attractive.

    We ate here. Table was greasy and food was lacking in protein. Advise to avoid
