"Akkoy - Typical Aegean Village" Akkoy by WulfstanTraveller

Akkoy, meaning white (Ak) village (koy), is a very typical, quiet, pretty little Aegean village very much like many others that one may see throughout the Aegean region in both Turkey and Greece. It is mostly made up of whitewashed, stuccoed masonry buildings. There isn't much here, since it's a sleepy little village surrounded by farmland, but here it is. It has, in 2004, at least, the Akkoy Antik Dekor, selling classical-styled decorations for the home a garden, including columns, Graeco-Roman style statues, etc. That seemed a bit out of place for the village, but is likely geared toward the many nearby seaside resort towns and vacation villages catering to both foreigners and other Turks who come here for vacation.
