I was born in Sonoma County and I have lived in the area most of my life. I currently live in Santa Rosa, the seat and largest town in Sonoma County. I went away for a number of years to go to college and didn't expect to come back but never really thought about it one way or the other. Against my expectations, I ended up moving back to Sonoma County when I found good employment here, although I live about 20 miles from where I grew up and in a different town.

I love to travel and as soon as I get back from somewhere, I want to go somewhere else! I also love seeing the variety in my home county and my home state of California, both of which have a lot to offer in terms of history, variety of towns, architecture, climate, weather, and the like. Therefore, even when I don't have the chance to go on a major trip, I love exploring closer to home.

So far, of all the places I have been, my three favorite big cities (and I love big cities) are, in no particular order, London, Istanbul, and San Francisco. I have been able to spend a significant amount of time in all three, on different occaisions, and always want to return for more.

Unfortunately, I only recently obtained a digital camera, so, although I have many pictures of my travels, it is hard and too time consuming for me to be able to post many very easily, so only some of my older pictures will slowly trickle in when I have the time and energy to scan them on to the computer.
