The first visit after 12 years!

I came to Kuala Lumpur in 1991 to attend my cousin's wedding. After that I never went there for a long time, while my relatives from Malaysia come pretty often to Jakarta. In August 2003 I finally visited Kuala Lumpur again, this time for a business trip. Fortunately, I also had many chances to went around. The train system, Light Railway Transit (LRT), is very convenient. I only needed a map of the train lines and there I went without a doubt!

Chinatown

In daytime after sessions I went around the city, either with my colleague or by myself. I could count on the LRT map. Besides, I stayed at a hotel that is next to an LRT station. That time I brought a train route map that included the monorail line. I planned a short trip to Bukit Bintang by train. I got off at an LRT station and was going to change line. It turned out that the line is the monorail line, which unfortunately was not yet operational. It was supposed to be launched in October! Then I had to walk... pretty long way, crossing big streets... But I found interesting views along the way.

At Nasi Kandar Penang, PJ

One day our host, Zam, took us to some places in one night. Dinner at Naili's in Sentul, a brief look at the gate of Batu Caves (I've been there early '90s and climbed those stairs), Taman Sukan Negara (the national sports centre), a university, Putrajaya, a brief look at Sunway pyramid and sphinx,... that's what I remember... Then we had supper at Nasi Kandar Penang in PJ.
