Getting TO/AROUND: There was no sign for an airport that I could see, and the railway line was not obvious, but there was a good selection of roads into town. Actually coming from more than one direction even. I chose to arrive by motorbike, but others select a car for fear of cold and inclement weather. There may even be a bus available, but of that I am not certain.

I've heard of both New and Old Deer as feature in my family tree! Nice to see one of them , so thanks.

How quaint. Maybe we should twin it with Red Deer, Alberta :-))
