The Gambia is a long and thin country on the west coast of Africa, nestled along the length of the river of the same name, with Senegal to the north, south and east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. With a British history, The Gambia has a long tradition of welcoming visitors, especially those in search of some winter sunshine. The Gambia, however, has a gread deal more to offer than just stunning beaches, something which I am hoping I'll be able to show you in these pages. If you would like to know lots of interesting facts and figures about this friendly country, check out this link. |

Nemorino Thu Feb 26, 2009 15:48 UTC Good idea to leave a bag of stationery or a financial contribution when visiting a village school. I was amused to read about the baobab tree not getting taller as it ages, but getting shorter while the girth increases, just like humans. | DAO Mon Dec 11, 2006 19:52 UTC Thanks for the ratings, I hope to have a map as blue as your someday! All the best. | JustinJansen Sun Mar 13, 2005 21:12 UTC Hey Grets, nice those and here it commes Long-tailed Glossy Starlings on the picture!! Very nice pages! Still working on mine The Gambia page!
