Bassar or Bassari is a smallish town halfway up Togo. WE reached it by crossing over by road from Ghana.
We were on a two week tour encompassing Ghana, Togo and Benin, and stopped here to learn a little about the culture and customs of the Bassar people. |

SLLiew Thu Feb 28, 2008 08:27 UTC Enjoyed reading about the royal stools and ostrich egg on roof top! Cheers, SL :) | kyoub Sun Mar 25, 2007 14:08 UTC Quite an interesting village. I liked the idea of the holes in the tomb for the spirit to breath. Nice you got to meet the" King". | iwys Tue Mar 6, 2007 23:25 UTC Interesting tips. Yes, I'd like to combine Togo with Ghana and Benin too. |
