The atlas mountains are a mountain range stretching some 2400 km through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The highest peak is Toubkal, with an elevation of 4167m. The offer stunning vistas of snow-clad peaks with spectacular mud-brick Berber villages clinging precariously to the hillsides. Many treks are possible, and there are good roads running through. |

globetrott Fri Jun 29, 2007 17:45 UTC an interesting page bringing back great memories ! Yes, children are terrible, when asking for "stylo" but they are so spoiled by many tourists, who bring them sweets and pens... | deeper_blue Sat Sep 17, 2005 14:52 UTC The Atlas area is fantastic, hope to visit it again | freya_heaven Wed May 25, 2005 11:58 UTC Better the children harrass each other for the sweets than you for your pen. Lovely photos! (~_~) | sachara Wed May 25, 2005 10:07 UTC Your interesting page of the Atlas shows how wonderful and varied Morocco is !! |
