There was nothing I knew about Amsterdam before I have been there in summer of the year 2007.
I didnīt even know where to sleep.
I needed to find out that it is very expensive if you havenīt booked a room in advance. There was no chance in any of the hostels. So me and my boyfriend were forced to take a room at a hotel for 85 per night without breakfast. Breakfast at the hotels is very expensive(around 20 per person). I suggest to have breakfast in one of the many cafes.
And I cannot recommend to come to Amsterdam by car.
Itīs 3,60 per hour for parking.
Best way to travel to Amsterdam is the train.
Abraxas Coffeeshops are good.
Donīt forget to cruise the "Grachten" with one of the boats.
There are also dinner cruises.
But I like best to walk. |
