The zoo
At Port el Kantaoui there is a small zoo,i couldnt believe there were dogs kept in there and Guinea pigs where as at home we keep them as pets.No wonder it was so cheap to get in.We also saw camels,ducks and lots of plants.Don't think i'd bother again.

At the funfair.
If your staying in Porta El Kantaoui and you want to go some where different in the evenings,there is a funfair,its really good for all ages,You buy the tickets from the kiosk in advance then hand them in when you go on your rides.There are lots of stalls and shops inside.The funfair was closed during the day.

In the mountains.
On our trip to the sahara,we went up into the mountains,the veiws were fantastic,there was even a waterfall, it was so hot that people were jumping underneath it.you can also pick up some good souvenirs from the stalls up there.

At Port El Kantaoui and most other resorts you can go out on the pirate ships during the day or to watch the sunset,you can dress up in pirate costumes as well and have a drink watching the sunset.The trips on the pirate ships can be booked in all the resorts.

Having my henna tattoo.
A local tradition for the tunisian woman is to have henna tattoos,if they are going to a wedding they tattoo their hands and feet,I had one put on my fingers,but beware it took weeks to come off and everybody thought i had gravy on my hands.

great time.
A great experience is to go and see a folklore festival,we had an amazing time,we saw belly dancers,balancing acts and jugglers.We ate a traditional Tunisian meal and drank the local wine,a fantastic night out whatever your age.The nights out can be booked from your hotel rep.

The marina.
The marina at Port El Kantaoui is a lovely place to go in the day or the evening,the port boasts a 340 wide berth marina which is very stylish,the boats are stunning.Ohh how the rich and famous live!!!You can take a boat out fishing,go in a submarine or a catmaran or just stroll along watching the local boys fishing.

The wave pool.
The Acqua Palace is a water park in Port El Kantoui,its a great place to go whatever your age.There are lots of water rides including water slides,toboggan drops,water rings and crazy river ride,theres even a jacuzzi and swimming pool with a wave machine.They sound a horn when the wave pool is about to start and the music and atmosphere is fantastic they even do an exercise routine with you.You can have lunch there as well.

AFRICAN DANCERS
Also in Friguia Wildlife Park we saw some African dancers,they were great in all that heat they still did a dance for us.You can also buy some beautiful wood carvings and other gifts from the gift shop,there is also a restuarant with a lovely big balcony where you can see over the whole of the park with stunning veiws.

WILDLIFE PARK
This is a place for anyone to visit.Friguia Wildlife park is about 35 km from Hammamet,it really does make you feel like you are in Africa.The entrance is really African with carved wood and straw roofs,there are lots of animals to see including Tigers,Elephants,Giraffes and Crocodiles,they have lots of space and are very well looked after.
