"Visiting family roots in Trieste... " a Trieste Travel Page by haiamisa

Mr haiamisa's family roots are partly in Trieste. His late father was born in Trieste in 1932 to a Jewish family that had arrived from Corfu, Greece. Cousins of mr haiamisa's late father live in Trieste and this was the first time we visited them. They have visited us several times in Israel.
We arrived to Trieste from Lago di Garda
by our rented Lancia Y.

And what did we do in Trieste:
1. Suffered from horrible heat of August 2003.
2. Enjoyed our stay at Armando's home and ate great fish and pasta that he cooked..
3. Visited the Jewish Cemetery and the grave of mr haiamisa's grandmother Anna Caimi and graves of other relatives.
4. Visited San Sabba concentration camp.
5. Escaped the heat of Trieste to Venice for three days by train. And suffered from the heat also there, but enjoyed A/C in the hotel.
