Transportation: From Trieste to Venice by train

Getting TO/AROUND: We got to Venice from Trieste (and back) by train. I think the trip took about 1.5 hours or so. It was a nice trip and the only bad thing was that there was no A/C on the train! Interesting facts: It was the first train trip ever for mr haiamisa (at the age of 45), but he was cool about it.

Transportation: Vaporetti - water bus

Getting TO/AROUND: From the railway station we got to our hotel by vaporetti, a water bus. We also used vaporetti to get around Venice. We bought a ticket for 24 hours that gave us opportunity to travel as much as we wished. Important fact: When boarding with luggage you need to pay also for your luggage!

Getting TO/AROUND: Gondolas are the first thing people know about Venice. Some people still think that all transport of Venice are done by gondolas. The fact is that gondolas are luxury travel and very expensive and common people use Vaporetti (the water bus) or water taxi instead. We did not go on a gondola but loved to watch and photograph them.
