Strange month it was, September 1982.
Back then I spent 3 or was it 4 nights in Amiens. I spent my 21st birthday there, but was alone as the person whom I was supposed to meet didn't arrive. Funny!
But I remember the french bread and cheese, and the cathedral bells as I stayed in a pension next to the cathedral. I continued by train to Grenoble and from there to Madrid and Portugal. I was on a two month Interrail.
