My first trip to Marmaris... ...was on a cruise ship Silverstar in October 2000. The cruise route was: Ashdod - Antalya - Marmaris - Santorini- Pireus(Athens) - Rodos - Ashdod. On that trip I walked from the port to the town, walked around the market, bought a black leather mini skirt, climbed the walls, ate a nice fish meal and returned to the ship. I really loved Marmaris and wanted to visit again. |

|  | My second trip to Marmaris... ...was in April 2002. That time I flew there for five nights and stayed in Hotel Mares which was very nice. I also made a day trip by car to Pamukkale and Afrodisias and visited Knidos too. It was a bit chilly in Marmaris in April and on the way to Pamukkale there was snow when the road went up the mountains. |

I was here once long before the tourists started to come. Everything was cheap then and maybe more beautiful. |
