What and where is it? Ma ze? Eifo ze? It is 211 meters below the sea level! The Kinneret is the most famous lake of Israel (well it is actually the only lake in Israel...), mostly for Christian reasons. Many miracles are said to have happened around the lake along time ago. Today there are not much miracles here and there is not enough water either as there hasn't been enough rain in winters. For me Kinneret has many connections. I have been there hundreds of time, in Tiberias or all around, and I also studied years ago at The Jordan Valley College by the lake. That time I drove there nearly daily for three years time. Sometimes I go for around the lake drive just for fun or to visit my friend Nechama in Kibbutz Tel-Katzir. There are many places to visit around the lake, national parks, nature reserves, Hamat Gader springs, Tiberias springs, churches and a nice Chinese restaurant in Tiberias. The travelogues tell stories from around the lake. |
| | On the road around the lake... ....you can have many adventures. We had a puncture on the eastern bank in April 2005. But mr haiamisa, an amateure mechanic, fixed it in no time. |
This picture... ... is taken from Tiberias. | | |
