Montserrat is about an hour's train from Barcellona. One can easily arrive there by cable car or funicular. All year round Montserrat is visited by many pilgrimages from Barcellona and all over Catalunya to visit the Benedictine monastery that is nestled amongst the crags of the mountains and of course to worship the Black Madonna " La Moreneta". One cannot but enjoy the spectecular scenery all around ! ! |

Those views you got great pictures of are fantastic from above the monastery - we visited a few yrs back but not right up higher where you went. Good idea and effort thanks! |
