Toledo is an ideal place to visit for a day trip. It is a small city, unique for its beauty , art and history and is only 71 km away from Madrid.
The city centre is full of cobble stoned narrow streets and passing through them,one can admire the wonderful and numerous souvenir shops and restaurants and the beautiful architecture all around.
One can visit many interesting places such as the famous fortress ( the Alcazar ), the Town Hall, the Old City Gates, the Old hospital that exhibits a collection of El Greco paintings. An other interesting site to see is that of the old Roman Bridge which one can see whilst coming from the railway station. |
