This place looks breathtaking. It's a resort built up on a hill and the views are magnificent. There are some dofferent cottages, ranking from basic bungalows to luxury honeymoon suites.
Unfortunately, the service is quite terrible. The staff speak almost no English. They are very lazy and distracted. You never know what you'll get. One of the weitresses was singing all the time. And the worst thing I've seen is: the staff was supposed to look after magager's little cute puppy. When they had to serve clients, they took the puppy and lock it into a closet where they were also keeping the plates and the napkins for their customers. Brrr...Poor puppy and poor customers.
The menu is very poor, with only 20 dishes, some of them being only variations of the same dish. The food is not very tasty.
VERY IMPORTANT TIP: In case you want to go there, never make reservations for more than 1-2 nights. We reserved for 6 nights and we wanted to leave after 4 nights and they wanted to make us pay for 6!!! I had to negociate hard and finally we payed 15% of the 2 nights left.
In a nutshell, this place could be paradise with proper management.

Unique Qualities: The rooms are wonderful and clean, with AC (depending of the accomodation type), TV and even DVD Player.
There is also a small but lovely pool. The picture on their website makes the pool look very big, but it's quite small (about 5x5 meters).
The view is absolutely fantastic. It feels like Sharon Stone's villa in Basic Instinct.

Directions: They provide free transfer from the "pier" (port) to the resort. You must look for the guy and his truck, as he's not holding any sign.

There are about 20-30 bungallows close to the sea and some of them are put directly on the beach, a few meters away from the water.
We came there to stay for 2 nights but we stayed for 4, cause we loved the place.
This "resort" is placed along the shore, between other similar place. The good thing is this place is much cheaper. For example, the next resort, "Coral Diving Resort" has exactly the same bungallows, placed exactly the same and is twice more expensive.
The "Bao Thong Resort" seems to be ran by an old Thai lady. The place is quite clean and, although you get no breakfast included, you get hot water and instant tea and coffe.
The beach in front is very nice, especially in low tide, when the water retreats and you can sit and read in verry shallow warms waters.
The place is quite tranquille. They don't have theor own restaurants, ,but there are two restaurants on the sides and you can get good food for decent money.

Unique Qualities: Good value for money, nice scenery, good beach and water, especially for families with children.
