The old town of Sighisoara (the Citadel) is built down from a rocky massive whose slopes ancient leaning houses their windows overlooking the steps or the little alleys. Up the hill is the beautiful Saxon Church on the hill established in 1345 and in the center of the citadel is the Clock Tower. Of the citadel are fourteen towers named after guilds responsible for their upkeep the most impressing is the hexagonal Shoemakers Tower and the Tailors Tower
