Tioman was discovered as a holiday destination quite some time ago. In the 70s the Time magazine selected Tioman as one of the world’s most beautiful islands.

Tioman is still rated as one of the world's most beautiful islands. It presents itself as a paradise island in the tropics. But sometimes you have to search for this paradise off the beaten track.

I was there will a group of my school mate. It was a scholl holiday but the great things is I never do any advance booking bofore that.:) Lucky we still able to get a nice hotel to stay for 4D3N. It took about 8 hours by coach from KL. This is one of the island that located quite a distance from the mainland of Penisular Malaysia. I think it was almost 5hours journey from the Mersing jetty to reach the 4th stop which is Salang at Tioman Island. My skin was totally get burn under the sun. But is a fantastic island to relax out from the city. Most happening area in Tioman might be Tekek which the local called it a city of the Tioman Island. The Berjaya Resort is located here. From Salang to Tekek there is no route by land, unless you climd up the jungle :)

Some good spot to visit I may reccomand the Marine Park, Monkey Bay and Tulai Island. The beaches and the water is my favourite!

I still planning my next trip to this beautiful island. Month of May will be great to view corals.
