The story of the bridge is not so successful, as the constructors had severe issues with stabilising the bridge -- it started to vibrate as people walked on it and the number of people on the bridge had to be limited. If you are fancy of modern art, do pay visit to Tate Modern on Bankside. The former power station has been converted into a modern museum experience that is currently unparalleled in Europe. The vast open spaces are used to display huge works of art, and there are are more intimate settings for pieces that would otherwise be lost in the space.

The permanent collections are free, and you can just walk in and start looking at the art. Two full floors will keep you busy for a while. The exhibitions cost money, but usually they are worth of every penny. They occupy other two floors.

The main hall has sometimes really, really big stuff on display. Usually something that you can walk in or otherwise be part of the art piece.
